COUNCILLOR’S DEDICATION

I have the reputation of being very dedicated in showing support, attending and actively participating in many local committees, service clubs, community association board meetings, public functions, church suppers, and charitable fundraising events. Being the regular Bingo Caller for the Lake Echo Lions Club, I have often volunteered my services to other bingos and auctions for fund-raising efforts.

COUNCILLOR’S COMMITMENT

As the only candidate for Councillor with extensive community, municipal, and provincial experience, it is imperative to be knowledgeable about the complex issues and diverse concerns that face all of the communities in our unique rural district. I will continue to work hard with constituents and community organizations in identifying needs and concerns and promoting local goals and projects. I commit to continuing my practice of producing a monthly Councillor’s Communique newsletter that is regularly advertised in our local community newspaper “The Eastern Shore Cooperator” and having it posted on my own personal and City Hall web-sites. I will continue my community dialogue through social media tools such as Facebook & Twitter. It is important to keep you informed about local issues on HRM initiatives that could affect us in our communities throughout District 2. I also established a Councillor’s Office in the Musquodoboit Harbour Railway Museum as a central location to be more accessible to the district citizenry.
