Encompassing 80 communities & a population of approximately 26,000+, District 2 begins at the Westphal – Lawrencetown boundary, and continues east along Highway 7 – Eastern Shore until it meets the Guysborough County Line.

Starting at the community boundary between Westphal and Lawrencetown; Cherry Brook and North/East Preston (as accepted at the date of the NSUARB decision) the district extends along Highway 7 including the communities of North and East Preston, Lawrencetown, East Lawrencetown, Mineville, Lake Echo, Middle & West Porters Lake, Porters Lake, Conrod Settlement, Three Fathom Harbour, Lower Three Fathom Harbour, Seaforth, Grand Desert, HeadlWestiEast & Lower East Chezzetcook, Musquodoboit Harbour and East & West Petpeswick.

Councillor David Hendsbee is a familiar face in District 2; having attended the local elementary, junior and senior high schools. He then went on to earn his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Saint Mary’s University.

Councillor Hendsbee comes from a large family and understands the value of staying connected with family and friends; therefore there are few meetings, events or community gatherings that occur without his participation.

Councillor Hendsbee has over a decade of experience as a Municipal Councillor.
