Please be advised that CBCL will be presenting the findings of the watershed studies for the Lake Echo and Porter’s Lake areas at two upcoming public meetings.  The purpose of these watershed study meetings is to present the findings of these studies while they are in final draft form so that the Consultants may obtain community feedback on the service areas and assumptions before finalizing the reports.  The final documents will be brought forward to Council at a later date for acceptance of the studies.  The findings of the studies will provide background information for the assessment of current and long-range planning proposals for future deliberations.
As well there are two other meetings with similar importance about traffic and a proposed development.

The CBCL presentation for the Lake Echo Watershed Study will be held at 7 PM on Monday, May 14th at the Lake Echo Community Centre located at #3168 – Hwy #7, in Lake Echo.

On Thursday, May 17th, at 7 PM there will be a PIM – Public Information Meeting pertaining to a Open Space Subdivision proposal by PJC Holdings ( Paul Norwood ) for a development that would connect Porters Lake to Lake Echo with a road parallel to Highway # 7 from the Myra Road via Sugarwood Lane to Circle Drive. That meeting will be at O’Connell Drive School.

There will be a Community Discussion on Wed. May 23 at 7 PM with representatives of the NS Dept of Transportation planners about traffic issues along Highway #7 in Porters Lake. This meeting will be at the Porters Lake Elementary School by Hwy #107 – Exit #20.

The CBCL presentation for the Porter’s Lake Watershed Study will held at 7 PM on Thursday, May 24th at the Lake & Shore Community Recreation Centre, located at the Porters Lake Elementary School- 40 Inspiration Drive, off Hwy #107 at Exit #20, in Porters Lake.  This may also have some impact on West Chezzetcook and Grand Desert because one option may be to extend a central sewer line along Hwy#207 to help deal with some problems associated with the inlet.
